Pure White Tea

Pure white tea from China is where tradition meets exquisite taste. Chinese white teas are the least processed of all tea types, undergoing minimal oxidation and retaining the tea leaves' natural color and delicate flavors. This gentle process preserves the essence of the tea leaves, offering a truly engaging tea experience with a light, pale infusion, and elegant, subtle taste.

Bai Mu Tan, also known as White Peony, typically contains a mix of both leaves and buds, giving it a somewhat bolder flavor and a richer mouthfeel compared to other white teas. Silver Needle, also called Bai Hao Yin Zhen, is made exclusively from young, tender tea buds, resulting in a delicate, refined taste with a smooth, silky texture.

Brewing Instructions:

To enjoy the perfect cup of pure Chinese White tea, start by heating fresh, filtered water to a temperature of 185°F (85°C). Use approximately 1.5 teaspoon of loose tea per 8 ounces of water. Steep the tea for 3-4 minutes, being mindful not to over-steep, as it may result in a bitter taste. Feel free to adjust the brewing time and tea quantity to suit your personal taste preference.

History:

Originating from the Fujian province of China, White tea has been cherished for centuries for its rarity and refinement. It dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907 CE), when it was reserved exclusively for Chinese royalty. The production of White tea expanded during the Song Dynasty (960-1279 CE), and its reputation for high quality and unique characteristics spread throughout China.

Possible Health Benefits:

Pure Chinese White tea is believed to offer numerous health benefits due to its high antioxidant content, which may help protect the body from free radicals and oxidative stress. Studies have suggested that White tea may promote heart health, support weight management, and improve skin health. Additionally, it has been linked to a reduction in the risk of certain chronic diseases and cancers.
