An intense firing process brings forth a pronounced roasted flavor in these leaves. With the sweet undertones, you may imagine burnt caramel atop stone fruits, alongside the more earthen notes. Offers a smooth finish, with a lingering and enlivening aftertaste. This tea is grown in the WuYi Mountains of the Fujian Province, where the warm moisture and high elevation is perfect for producing this delightful Oolong.

Extra Info:

Oolong teas are best enjoyed when the leaves are briefly infused with hot water, which is then poured off. The tea is then re-infused and tea is poured to the guests after about 1 minute. The leaves may be re-infused several times, with each resulting infusion yielding different liquor from the proceeding cup.

Brewing Instructions:

Bring filtered or spring water to 185°F. Add 1.5 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 3 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Organic Chinese oolong tea

Origin:

Fujian, China

Reviews:

This is a decent wuyi oolong. Good mineral aroma with some unique bread pudding notes in the first few steepings. The flavor is only decent. First few steepings reveal mineral notes but they fade by the 3rd steeping.
