VIDEO: Lady Londonderry Sun Tea vs Cold Brew

This is our (Kaycee and Sarah’s) second video in a series which will cover recipes, questions, and other things that we have experienced while working at NM Tea Co!

If you are new to making sun tea and cold brew here are some instructions! If you have any questions, comment below. View the video and comment on which style of brewing you use more. Leave some tips and suggestions you like to add when making tea!

SUN TEA

What you’ll need:
  • Filtered water
  • Large jar or glass
  • 1 oz Loose leaf tea per gallon of water
  • Infuser / strainer
  • Place with direct sunlight

Instructions:

Fill a large jar with loose leaf tea fill with filtered water. In the video, we used 2 ounces of Lady Londonderry tea with 2 gallons of water. If you like your tea rich, it wouldn’t hurt to add more tea leaves. Then, place the jar under direct sunlight and allow it to sit. Frequently taste tea to seek the desired flavor. Finally, strain leaves and enjoy!

COLD BREW

What you’ll need:
  • Filtered water
  • Large jar or glass
  • 1 oz Loose leaf tea per gallon of water
  • Infuser / strainer
  • Refrigerator

Instructions:

Fill a large jar with loose leaf tea and fill with filtered water. In the video, we used 2 ounces of Lady Londonderry tea with 2 gallons of water. If you like your tea rich, it wouldn’t hurt to add more tea leaves or another pouch. Then, place the jar inside the refrigerator overnight. Finally, strain leaves* and enjoy!

*If you are using an herbal tea you can leave the tea in the jar and just add more water and put back in the refrigerator.
