Lapsang souchong is a black tea originally from the Mount Wuyi area in the Fujian province of China. The tea leaves have been withered over pine or cedar fires, pan-fired, rolled and oxidized before being fully dried in bamboo baskets over burning pine. The result is a smoky, robust tea with an overriding scent and flavor of wood smoke, which dominates the flavor of the black tea itself.
Smoked black tea sings with chocolate and cinnamon!
Looking for a great tea to get your friends hooked on tea? Look no further than the Friendship Blend! With the base at only half black tea, this tea can be enjoyed all day for a light caffeine boost. The fruity notes of the blend mellow out over the cup, leaving a slightly spicy linger to finish.
A flavory and tasty combination of mellow peaches with deep full flavored apricots. Makes an absolutely tremendous iced tea.
Tie Guan Yin is sweet and thick with a hint of orchid aftertaste. The look of this brew is a subtle yellowish-green, and the first steeping unfurls the rolled tea leaf to reveal large, juicy green leaves. It tastes much like its aroma: Bright and incredibly fresh, with sweet, mellow grassy undertones. This oolong holds up to a surprising number of re-steepings, rewarding the palette with various incarnations of sweet, smooth, tangy, and lively flavors.
Assam black tea from the Harmutty Estate, graded as STGFOP-S, represents an exceptional tea with a rich, malty flavor, abundant golden tips, and larger, elegant leaves.
Jasmine Nights is a lovely blended green tea with a hint of mint and the light aroma and aftertaste of Jasmine and Cardamom. It is light, energetic, delicate-bodied tea, perfect for cool summer nights. It is an especially good green tea for those that dislike the grassy flavor of more pure greens. And because it is a blend, it is also more forgiving during the brewing process than pure green teas.
