All the delicate malt notes and honeyed smoothness one would expect from a Yunnan, but with an incredible woody depth attributed to the age of the ancient old-growth tea plant. Further, mid-range plum notes can be best extracted by using short but repeating infusions.

Extra Info:

It is believed throughout the tea world that the Chinese province of Yunnan, which borders Laos, Vietnam, Burma, and Tibet, is the birthplace of the world's first tea plantations. However, in direct contrast to the soothing qualities of a cup of freshly brewed tea, the Yunnan tea plantations, if legend is to be believed, were the byproduct of a terrible war.

Brewing Instructions:

Bring filtered or spring water to 212°F. Add 1.5 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 4 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Black tea

Origin:

Yunnan, China

What an extraordinary tea! It is incredibly smooth with absolutely no bitterness. It's rich, slightly malty flavor is very satisfyingly as a high end tea should be. This tea is perfect for special occasions.
