Jasmine Nights is a lovely blended green tea with a hint of mint and the light aroma and aftertaste of Jasmine and Cardamom. It is light, energetic, delicate-bodied tea, perfect for cool summer nights. It is an especially good green tea for those that dislike the grassy flavor of more pure greens. And because it is a blend, it is also more forgiving during the brewing process than pure green teas.

Extra Info:

The word Jasmine comes from the Persian yasmin, which, rather appropriately, means "gift from God." Jasmine, which is a member of the genus of the olive plant, grows as a shrub or vine. Quite romantically, the Jasmine flower blossoms only at night, and its petals are plucked in the mornings as a tight bud. The petals of the plant are what are used to create teas, perfumes, syrups, incense, and essential oils.

Brewing Instructions:

Bring filtered or spring water to 180°F. Add 1 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 3 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Jasmine Green tea, jasmine flowers, peppermint and cardamom

Reviews:

I love a classic Green Jasmine tea but this Jasmine Nights Green is even better. The whole jasmine blossoms are beautiful and the addition of peppermint and cardamom add a delightful complexity.

This is a wonderfully complex tea! And the there are so many ways to draw out different flavors that I am still trying them all: steeping time, water temperature, milk, type and amount of sweetener. This is a great tea with which to experiment.

This is one of my favorite afternoon teas. The taste combined with the delicate fragrance makes the tea a good afternoon treat.
