Black Currant is also known as Cassis. It is both a propagated and wild grown berry which some claim originated in France. Cassis is a very popular beverage throughout Europe, known for being aromatic in smell and in taste. This particular aspect of Black Currant is very evident on this tea. Brewing Instructions:

Bring filtered or spring water to 212°F. Add 1 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 5 minutes.

When I spent time in Great Britain, I discovered Black Currant's. They have a wonderful flavor and are ubiquitous in Britain, being a popular flavor in drinks, candy, preserves and in places where Americans would probably use Blueberries. I like Blueberries, but I like Black Currants even more. They have more flavor. without being over sweet. In America, Black Currant products are nearly impossible to find, except in imported, usually expensive foods. This tea brings all that wonderful, delicate flavor. It is wonderful both hot and iced. I have a little sugar in mine. Black Currant Tea has become one of my regular, go to tea's.
