This full-bodied brew of smooth black tea and rich coconut is dreamy, indeed! Translates beautifully hot or iced. For increased decadence, try it with some coconut milk.

Extra Info:

Marco Polo first named the fruit "coconut" because he thought that the 3 dark holes on their base made them look like a grinning face - in Portuguese "coco". Despite their friendly appearance, falling coconuts kill an average of 150 people every year. Ironically, the coconut tree is considered by many people to be the tree of life. This is because every part of a coconut and the tree itself can be used and plays an important role in tropical life.

Brewing Instructions:

Bring filtered or spring water to 212°F. Add 1 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 4 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Black tea, coconut pieces, and natural flavors

I bought this tea to try something new in black teas. No, I did not like it at all. I do like coconut and black tea, just not together. I pass this tea along to another tea lover. No, I will not buy again. Stick with the Orange Oolong which is my favorite.

This is one of my absolute favorite teas. I brew it most mornings in a pot and paint in my studio while drinking it. The very natural coconut essence is perfect and enriches the delicate black tea flavor. I have moved across the country, and I now order it online! There's nothing else like it anywhere.

My son loves coconut and we make this tea by the pot. Very creamy and the coconut is subtle.

I have over 25 of your teas now, and this one is my favorite. It's especially good paired with tropical fruits.

The smell upon opening the pouch - others describe it as "pungent" - seems a bit "off" to me. Chemical, almost. The tea tastes fine, and I suspect an above-average black tea was used for the base, but I would have expected more coconut flavor to come through. Perhaps more would if taken with milk, as the description suggests, but I don't normally do so. It was sweeter than normal black tea, but not stunningly so. Overall: I'd drink it, but there are more tasty things on this site.

This tea is most excellent! I love it with a tiny bit of stevia and a splash of heavy cream... yum! It makes the best desert tea ever!

As others have said, a delicate taste, pungent smell. To my sensibilities, I want a little more punch, a little less delicacy in the taste, but I'll certainly buy it again. Even after I accidentally left a cup infusing for much longer than recommended, the flavor was intact. The aftertaste, though, is on par with the smell. quiet, rich, complex.

My family and visitors are really enjoying this one. Sometimes, for a special treat, I'll add a bit of honey and milk. This one, above all the other teas in my pantry, is running out the quickest!
