Nilgiri black tea perfectly compliments the candy-like spice character of the cardamom. We blend this tea in house to be extra spicy with cardamom flavor (By gently grinding and breaking open the pods).

Once a cardamom pod is broken open it starts to loose flavor, because of this we only blend this tea in small batches ensuring optimal freshness when it arrives to you!

Brewing Instructions:

Bring filtered or spring water to 212°F. Add 1 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 4 minutes.

Do yourself a favor and get this one! It is amazing with pastries or by itself. Just the slightest hint of cardamom and smooth black tea. I like to add some to my chai for a little extra kick. New favorite!

I just received my sample (I love the samples!)of this Cardamom Black Tea and I absolutely LOVE it! I used 1 tsp and made 16oz of tea. It had just the right amount of flavoring and it blended well with the Nilgiri Tea. It was a beautiful light golden color to which I added a small amount of raw sugar. It will be a "GO TO" Tea for me for sure! I highly recommend. I love New Mexico Tea Company!

This cardamom black tea has become my favorite through the long, dark, cold Alaska winter. The aroma alone is worth the price! I brew this using a tea kettle that brews to 212, using a precise tea measuring spoon for a 16 oz. mug, let it steep exactly 3 minutes (Suri times it on my iPhone), add two lumps of sugar and PERFECTION in a mug! I love chai style teas that are heavy on the cardamom. To find a black tea that is JUST cardamom was intriguing to me. This was everything I was hoping it would be. It's warm and soothing. When drinking this tea there is no doubt that the spice is cardamom, but its not overwhelming or abrasive. The spice works well with the black tea base, complimentary not overpowering. This is a wonderful tea.
