Blood Orange black was inspired by our most popular blend, blood orange rooibos. It has a similar flavor of citrus orange with a light vanilla undertone, however because it uses black tea as a base, you also get a nice caffeine kick.

Extra Info:

Blood oranges usually have pitted skin and are smaller than an average orange. The juice is sweet with a somewhat bitter aftertaste and less acidic than that of regular table oranges.

Brewing Instructions:

Bring filtered or spring water to 212°F. Add 1 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 4 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Black Tea, Orange Peel, Rose Hips, Apple Pieces, Safflowers, and Rose Petals, with Natural and Artificial Flavoring

Reviews:

Having had Blood Oranges in the past that were so sour, they could knock your socks off, I was hesitant to try the Blood Orange Black tea, but orange flavor is one of my favorite flavorings in tea, so I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did! The orange flavor in this tea isn't sour at all and is rather delicate with a bit of sweetness. The orange peel is slightly spicy and the rose petals and apple pieces round out the flavor profile nicely. I drink orange flavored teas frequently, and this tea has become one of my go-to teas in the citrus realm. Delicious!
